JU'S JOURNAL
about ju's journal
Hey there, this is Jewel (“Ju” for short!), a twenty-something writer navigating her way through the world’s musings with her poetry and personal daily journal. Here, I ask the why’s, regardless of whether or not we find the answer.
The world now as we now know it is confined in chaos that there seems to be no place for vulnerability. One must stand guard and resist offense from a black & white user162302 online. I sought for a safe space and figured, why not create it myself?
A reach? I know. But with the years I have dealt with individuals from different walks of life, my love for connecting with others has been restored. I learned that there is one thing that holds us together: sharing good stories. The reality is harsh and there are truths that must be dealt with in broad daylight—plunder, murder, and tyranny. Living through bloodthirsty dynasties has never been easier, and so we gather strength from these good stories, to enliven hope and see ourselves as human behind the screens of our devices. By-and-by, the movement remains in the streets.
Though, I cannot guarantee that intellectual merit perseveres in the writings. After all, this is a dumpster of my morning thoughts—think Twitter, just longer. Literally, this is a head-empty journal is all.
Regardless, this is a platform for sharing good stories to counterbalance fear and despair. To remind that there are others for you, waiting to hear your good story. Here, you are welcome.
